Mobile Content Providers + Lypp API = $

I am currently at the Pacific Northwest Wireless Summit in Vancouver gearing up to pitch the Lypp API to a bunch of Telcos, Service providers and a handful of VCs.

I am currently at the Pacific Northwest Wireless Summit  Lypp API to a bunch of Telcos, Service providers and a handful of VCs.

While in the green-room I met another presenting company who have a unique mobile content delivery solution and advertising service. They described what they do and I described how they could use the Lypp API to integrate some callback telephony to increase revenue. With eyebrows raised they asked me to tell them more.

Telephony via the Lypp API for mobile content providers it’s a pretty simple story. They sell to merchants (directly or indirectly) looking to advertise in the mobile space. These ads are inserted into content. By using the API they could insert a link or button in that ad that allowed the user to quickly get called by the merchant. They could charge the merchant a premium for calls that they receive from the advertiser’s Call-me link.

Since integrators do not need to do anything special to integrate the Lypp features (besides knowing XML) and there is no up-front fee, it’s a no-brainer to add value and revenue rapidly.
